Back again in the Gerbing collection is the heated waistcoat. The heated vest is by far the most economic way to keep the core warm. And that is what heated clothing is supposed to do: keep the vital organs inside your body warm. If your body temperature drops by 1C, your reaction time will drop by 10%. Imagine that if you are riding a bike in the cold. The Gerbing heated vest is not a luxury product but a safety product!
The heated waistcoat/ heated vest is a nice slim fitting model made from soft shell fabric. Very stylish model with extra soft tricot lining in the neck area. The heated vest heats the entire core, including the neck through a heating element in the collar. 2 heated pads, made from our famous Microwire®, in the chest, and 2 heating pads in the back makes sure you will not loose any heat, even if you are riding in arctic circumstances.
- Heats entire core to keep you warm
- Microwire® heating elements with lifetime warranty
- Nice luxury looking soft shell fabric
- Extra accessory plug to connect the heated socks or heated gloves.
- Inside and outside pockets
The difference between a heated waistcoat and a heated jacket liner are the sleeves which are also heated on the jacket liner. But if you have a tight fitting (leather) riding suit, the heated jacket liner will become too bulky, and you might want to choose the heated vest.
If you want to connect one of our 12 volt heated gloves or heated socks to the vest, you need a y-cable which goes into the accessory plug of the heated vest/ heated waistcoat.
Note: A Junior controller will not work if you have an inline temperature controller for the heated vest.
Like all of our 12 volt heated clothing, also the vest is provide with a battery hook-up for free.
